What is the biggest problem in the financial sector in Hungary in 2024?

In 2024 and in the coming years the economy has to face more than one challenge at once. This is the perion of “poli-crisis”, and all has an impact on the financial, accounting, auditing, tax and legal consultancy. These are: the war, the climate change, the competitiveness, the digitalization and the increasing authority control. During consulting, it is vital to consider the uncertain economic, social, legal environment and to develop flexible solutions for our clients.

What is the more significant problem: finding qualified people, or keeping them once hired?

None of them seems easy today! We can say, our staff is our biggest treasures. In order to keeping them, we develop competitive benefit packages, offer flexible working hours, home office opportunities, a pleasant environment, continuous training and career improvements. We have an adaptive people focus. For the younger generations we provide continuous development, challenges and adequate feedback, the possibility of self-development both in knowledge and career path. For senior we offer, in addition, the possibility of self-realization in a supportive and safe environment.

The diversity of our management also helps in this: Márta Siklós, with her enormous experience, Dr. Nóra Rácz with her system improvement intention and entrepreneurial skills, Dr. Gellért Menczel-Kiss with his youthful momentum, Dr. Levente Szabó with his leadership and client-focus and myself with a will to build trust in the team and improve in new professional areas again and again.

What are the latest trends of your sector?

One of them is the tax digitalization, the increasing standardization and real-time availability of tax data gives significant munition for predictive analysis models of risk assessment in tax investigations.

The importance of transfer pricing is still increasing. The increasing attention requires even more caution, and this area will also remain in the spotlight globally with the introduction of public CbCR and the trends toward BEFIT.

Finally, the GloBE taxation presenting a new challenge for corporate groups with imposing a top-up tax where the effective tax rate is below 15%. Fortunatelly, Hungary still offers tax allowances, also within the GloBe regime, which worth to look up investment potentials here.
