Publications – 31.10.2025

LeitnerLeitner has been continuously involved in shaping the main directions of VAT reform for more than ten years.

LeitnerLeitner has received tremendous professional and policy recognition in recent days. The European Commission has invited LeitnerLeitner experts Hannes Gurtner and Judit Jancsa-Pék to participate in the work of the VAT Expert Group for next three years. With this appointment, the firm is now one of the few members that have been continuously involved in shaping the main directions of VAT reform since 2014, for more than 10 years.

It signs the value of our contribution that only two other firms received this prestigious invitation out of all the major European tax advisory and law firms except LeitnerLeitner.

VAT Expert Group, operating alongside the European Commission’s Taxation and Customs Working Group that advises on and shapes European VAT policy, whose 40 members are selected on the basis of professional criteria.
